Key Accountabilities for the project manager role will be:
Working as part of the project delivery chapter and for the Program Manager to ensure the quality creation and management of project documentation including business case, status reports, milestones, resource plans, risks and issues registers using appropriate project management tools to deliver effective results etc.
Management of the projects and vendor/s in accordance with the project methodology to meet business objectives.
Drive and manage the processes required to identify and verify scope, requirements and components of the project to ensure that clarity is achieved on what the project needs to deliver to meet business expectations
Working closely with business stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are fulfilled by the solution within the agreed scope, time and budget.
Liaise with stakeholders and vendor partners to ensure there is no risk to the project delivery.
Act as a conduit between ICT and the Business.
Manage and ensure compliance to all processes involved in budgeting, monitoring and controlling of costs in accordance with Ausgrid's financial management guidelines
Ensure the project is delivered to business expectations within the approved funding provided whilst meeting the performance and user experience standards etc., post go-live.
Strong track record of delivering projects. (Minimum 4 years experience)
Agile methodology projects experience and exposure. Detailed hands on experience or working knowledge.
Knowledge of / or exposure to Metering solutions within the Utility industry.
Strong understanding and knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Solid stakeholder management skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as presentation skills
Excellent project planning, budget, scoping, costing and scheduling ability
Project management qualification in an IT related discipline;
Utilities industry experience / Exposure
Ability to engage, motivate and lead resources including vendors
Proactive and dynamic personality - "Can do" and positive attitude.
MS Project / PPM experience to manage program level schedules, critical paths, resource utilisation etc.
Effective organisational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and manage priority expectations with stakeholders.
Prepared to roll up your sleeves and assist the Program Manager with necessary activities on the project.
Understanding of integrated ICT solutions and business process re-engineering capability spanning multiple platforms and business units.
Formal SCRUM / Agile qualification or certification
Experience with Cloud and/or Cloud migration projects.
