GIS Officer Near Griffith, Regional NSW On-Site location Permanent
Key functions of this role:
The Information Systems Division is responsible for developing and maintaining information, communications, and technology solutions for this key organisation in the agriculture business.
This role will be handling day to day GIS tasks e.g., creating maps, analysing spatial data and creating reports to share relevant spatial information.
This role will work closely with the Manager Information Systems and various internal stakeholders to achieve outcomes. There are two main components of this role:
Analyse and Reporting:
Working with divisional stakeholders to produce GIS reports, dashboards, and data exports to suit their needs.
Independent analysis to produce and present GIS reports to the Executive Management Group as required.
Managing Internal Data Services:
Implementing and maintaining a digital ecosystem for staff to readily access business GIS data both in the office and field environments.
Providing general staff support for data analysis tools.
Administering of the ESRI software suite.
Intermediate level GIS skills in ESRI's software suite and online offerings (ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS online, Field Maps)
Quality controlling GIS data from projects and presenting it in formats to be utilised by staff.
Leading company's engagement with third party GIS focused projects and programs.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
A tertiary degree in a relevant GIS or IT discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
A minimum of three year's experience in a role with similarities to this role.
Demonstrated experience with ESRI's suite of products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, Field Maps, Modelbuilder, ArcPy scripting and ArcGIS Online.
