Salesforce Architect - Contract

Duration: 6-12 months
Location: Melbourne CBD | Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the migration of legacy technology platforms onto a modern, scalable Salesforce ecosystem. This is a hands-on contract role where you will shape architecture, guide delivery teams, and design innovative, user-centred Salesforce solutions that deliver real business and consumer value.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Solution Design - Lead end-to-end solution design across Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Public Sector Solutions (PSS/OmniStudio).
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs, producing logical/physical models and option assessments.
• Champion configuration over customisation, leveraging Salesforce out-of-the-box capabilities wherever possible.

Technical Leadership

• Provide clear architectural direction and design trade-offs to delivery teams, partners, and senior stakeholders.
• Support development across Apex, LWC, Flow, and integration patterns, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Drive quality outcomes across DevOps, release management, and environment strategy.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience leading Salesforce architecture and solution delivery in complex enterprise or public sector environments.
• Strong hands-on capability with Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), bulkification, and performance tuning within governor limits.
• Demonstrated expertise in Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and OmniStudio including FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and OmniScripts.
• Solid integration design experience (REST/SOAP APIs, Events, Platform Events, CDC; MuleSoft desirable).
• Strong data modelling skills and experience with Experience Cloud portal patterns.
• Exceptional communication skills-able to clearly explain technical decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (on-prem) architecture and operations is highly regarded.
